COMMENTS
Black/yellow Parlophone label with silver print Type-4
Black and Yellow Parlophone label with silver print:
the name "THE PARLOPHONE CO. LTD.(capital letter)" on the outer rim, the "SOLD IN U.K. ..." statement and the "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1964" statement was printed.

Beginning in 1964, Parlophone (and all the other EMI companies) began printing a phrase in the centers of all their singles, EP's and LP's, which said:

SOLD IN U.K. SUBJECT TO RESALE PRICE CONDITIONS, SEE PRICE LISTS.

This notice appears on the labels of every UK market EMI product, from very early 1964, right through mid-1969.

There are a few label errors on the Stereo copy of Beatles for Sale 2nd. pressings.
1: On side-1, is where the song "I'm a Loser" is mis-spelled as "I'm a Losser".
2: On side-2 is where, on the top line, the "Northern Songs" credit is mis-spelled with 2 S's - "Northern SSongs".

The LP cover is a gatefold, with both front and back covers laminated, but the entire cover is one whole piece of material, connected on the inside-right cover by the laminated fold over flaps. To remove the disk from the cover, you have to open the gatefold and slide the disk out from the left.

The orange blog on the front cover is actually Tony Bramwell’s hand – as he was holding back tree branches for the photo shoot.
The back photo is not a simple picture – The Beatles image was cropped and superimposed over a background of leaves.

On 1st July 1965, EMI underwent a merger and each individual ceased to be a L.T.D. company and became a subsudialy of "The Gramophone Co. Ltd." which was owned by EMI.
