The stereo covers have PCS 7070 and "stereo" in the upper right corner and red lines above and below rear sleeve note.

On the lower flipback of the original first press of Yellow Submarine stereo does not credit Garrod & Lofthouse as the sleeve printer, but on second press (still with red lines) it does say "Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patent No. 943,895".
At the bottom left of the back cover, the old Apple mark, which looks like a drawing, and the word "APPLE RECORDS" was printed.

The records were housed in black inner sleeves with a die-cut circular opening on one side to expose the Apple label. These sleeves were most likely manufactured by Harrison & Sons.

The original LP release contained the Beatles tracks on side-1 with a newly recorded orchestral score composed and arranged by George Martin occupying side-2 of the disc.

Beginning in 1964, Parlophone (and all the other EMI companies) began printing a phrase in the centers of all their singles, EP's and LP's, which said:

SOLD IN U.K. SUBJECT TO
RESALE PRICE CONDITIONS,
SEE PRICE LISTS.

This notice appears on the labels of every UK market EMI product, from very early 1964, right through mid-1969.
