COMMENTS
In 1968, as part of a corporate restructuring of Capitol and EMI, Capitol Records, Inc. became a wholly owned subsidiary of a new entity known as Capitol Industries, Inc.

The decision was made to identify the new arrangement on subsequent Capitol releases. This required the reprinting of 45 and album labels to reflect the new ownership.

For single releases, the perimeter print was changed to gMFD. BY CAPITOL RECORDS, INC., A SUBSIDIARY OF CAPITOL INDUSTRIES, INC., U.S.A.h

There are four basic variations of the subsidiary
swirls:
(1) Keystone labels with black perimeter print (Scranton)
(2) Keystone labels with white perimeter print (Scranton)
(3) Bert-Co labels with white perimeter print (Los Angeles)
(4) Small print labels with white perimeter print (usually Los Angeles)

The black perimeter print was used on labels printed from mid-August 1968 through mid-October 1968, at which time white perimeter print was used through April 1969.
